

The Tentec Hydraulic Stud Tensioner is used in
conjunction with a standard nut and studbolt assembly. Using
ancillary hydraulic equipment the system is pressurised to impart
"pre-load" into the studbolt. The pre-load is locked
into the fastener assembly mechanically and the pressure released.

Using "clip in" self energising
seals a minimum number of parts are used to make the stud
tensioner "SIMPLE TO OPERATE". |

"Overstroking" the piston or
premature removal of hydraulic connections will release
pressurised oil. Tentec Hydraulic Nuts are "Intrinsically
safe". Operator errors are countered through
simple and effective pressure release in a controlled and
safe manner.
Calculated accurate pre-load in the
assembly will prevent bolt failure during tightening. |

Torque is eliminated and prevents the
following problems :- "frictional errors, over
stressed bolts, twisting in the bolt". USING
ACCURATE CALCULATIONS, the bolt is loaded with PURE
tension |
